Environment, Water and Health and Poverty Alleviation for the Population of Socotra Island, Yemen The Environment, Water and Health and Poverty Alleviation for the Population of Socotra Island, Yemen project is implemented in collaboration with the Environment Protection Authority (Ministry of Tourism and Environment) and in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation. It is supported by the Governments of Italy and by UNDP. The Government of Poland also contributed to this project with technical assistance and in-kind donations. The project aims at addressing primary needs of the local population, in close coordination with ongoing biodiversity conservation efforts of the EPA.
